Leicester Square Kitchen

If you ever find yourself wandering around London’s buzzing West End and in need of a vibrant culinary escape, Leicester Square Kitchen might just be the oasis you didn’t know you were craving. Nestled right at 31-36 Leicester Square, this restaurant blends Mexican and Peruvian influences with a cosmopolitan London twist-and it does it with flair.

From the moment you step into Leicester Square Kitchen, the atmosphere hits differently. Think warm lighting, sleek modern décor, and a soundtrack that keeps the energy high without being overpowering. Whether you’re flying solo, grabbing a late-night bite, or settling in for a long dinner with friends, the space effortlessly adapts. Add to that wheelchair-accessible seating and entrance, and it’s clear they’ve designed the place to be welcoming to all.

Now, let’s talk food-because that’s where the magic really happens. Their Wagyu Sliders are what burger dreams are made of: juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, served on a perfectly toasted bun. Then there’s the Duck Salad-refreshingly light, with just enough citrus to balance the richness of the duck. The kitchen knows how to balance bold Latin flavors with modern refinement, and it shows in every dish.

Craving seafood? Their Tuna Tiradito, served with diced avocado, corn, red onion, yuzu, and chili, is a stunner both visually and on the palate. Or maybe you’re in the mood for something sizzling? Go for the Sizzling Lamb Chop or the Crispy Corn-Fed Chicken, crusted in parmesan and chili lemon panko. Both deliver on texture, heat, and flavor in all the right ways.

What sets Leicester Square Kitchen apart, though, is its versatility. They offer a selection of small plates perfect for sharing or mixing and matching if you're the indecisive type (no judgment). Beef Tacos, Bruschetta, Guacamole with chips, and Grilled Corn on the Cob make for a fun, casual table spread, especially if paired with one of their standout cocktails.

Speaking of drinks, the Picante Margarita deserves its own spotlight. It's got just the right amount of kick to complement the dishes without stealing the show. Prefer something fruitier? The Lychee cocktail is a silky, refreshing alternative. And if cocktails aren’t your thing, their great beer selection and rich coffee offerings ensure there’s something for every kind of drinker.

On the sweeter side of things, dessert here is far from an afterthought. The Coconut Mousse with Mango and Raspberry Coulis feels like a tropical vacation in a glass, while the Panna Cotta hits that creamy, just-sweet-enough note. And for those who want something a bit more indulgent, the Gulab Jamun is an unexpected delight-warm, syrupy, and absolutely satisfying.

Service-wise, expect polished professionalism with just the right amount of warmth. Staff members are knowledgeable, especially when it comes to recommending dishes and pairing drinks. Plus, they’re happy to accommodate dietary preferences with vegan dishes and healthy options clearly available on the menu.

For those looking for a livelier experience, there’s often live music playing during dinner hours, adding a festive edge to the already electric ambiance. Whether you're there for a quick lunch, a romantic dinner, or a post-theatre cocktail, the vibe always feels right.

Another plus? Outdoor seating gives you a front-row seat to the vibrant life of Leicester Square itself-a brilliant option for people-watching while sipping on a Pisco Sour or nibbling on some Habanero Matchstick Chicken.

Whether you're looking for late-night food, a quick bite, or a full culinary experience, Leicester Square Kitchen delivers variety, flavor, and energy in equal measure. With a location that puts you at the heart of the city and a menu that takes your taste buds far beyond it, this spot is hard to forget.

Fab baja fish Tacos- great tang. Perfect pulled pork + nicey spicy dippy. Flavoursome matchstick chicken. Super service from the moment you enter. Chilled atmosphere with great view of Leicester Square.

Food was quite good, we tried a few things like tacos, sweet potatoes fries, cassava chips, Mexican rice, tacos, ceviche and seabream. They all were tasty, probably the seabream was the one we likes the least. Staff was friendly however despite the place wasn't full, the service at the beginning was quite slow. We then requested to sit somewhere else due to the too loud music. We were not expecting to find a DJ playing in a restaurant, it's a nice idea but really leaves very little space for human interactions. Overall was fine but I wouldn't go back.

This restaurant is attached to a hotel in Leicester Square, great location and ambience is good although quite quiet. We got the short rib and fish taco to start which were both amazing but small- probably about 2-3 bites. Calamari was good too but lacked a sauce. Wings were really juicy but overpriced. We got the rib eye steak which was okay but lacked flavour and they don’t really have any side options to pair. Beef was good too but same again, needs a side. Prices are quite a lot for the portion but may be due to the location. We had £50 off so it was worth it for us.

Had dinner here before a late visit to the National Gallery. Have to say we were both very impressed with the food. Lovely short rib tacos, chicken wings, salad and beef skewers, all served with a selection of very tasty sauces. Service was good and attentive. It was a bit bright and quite quiet despite being a Friday evening, hence marking down a bit for atmosphere, but still a very good evening in a great location for the West End. Would recommend.

Great location, the tacos were well presented. Love the spice level. A bit pricy for the quantity but delicious.
